Install captioner — one command

Captioner runs inside Claude Code (it provides the image-reading vision). You need Python 3.9+. In your Terminal, run:

  && unzip -o captioner.zip && cd captioner-0.3.0 \
  && pip install -r requirements.txt && bash install.sh

Where it lands: the installer sets captioner up in your Claude Code skills directory at ~/.claude/skills/captioner — that one path is all it touches. Restart Claude Code, then run:

/captioner <path-to-your-deck.pptx-or-a-folder-of-decks>

Add --write-descr to also write screen-reader alt-text, or --descr-only for alt-text with no visible captions. Your original .pptx is never changed — captioner writes a new captioned copy.

Using Claude Code to install it? Just tell Claude: “install captioner from github.com/jbenhart44/captioner using the one-command install in the README.” Prefer git? git clone the repo and run the same pip install + bash install.sh steps.
